Eva Galson Retires from Galson Laboratories
SYRACUSE, NY - An illustrious career has concluded with the recent retirement of Eva Galson, CIH retired, from Galson Laboratories.
Galson Laboratories first achieved a national reputation for excellence in industrial hygiene chemistry under the directorship of Eva Galson, as laboratory director from 1977 to 1988. During that time, she supervised the day-to-day operations of the industrial hygiene and environmental laboratory, which grew from a staff of three to thirty five.
From 1988 until recently, Eva Galson had quality assurance/quality control responsibilities for Galson Laboratories and also assisted other laboratories in meeting the accreditation requirements of certifying agencies.
Ms. Galson earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from Queens College and an M.S. degree from Syracuse University in bacteriology. Throughout her career she served on numerous committees for the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
