Galson Laboratories' Edward A. Stuber Receives Prestigious Harriotte A. Hurley Award Member of the Year Award
Press release content...Syracuse, N.Y. - Edward A. Stuber, CIH, Monitoring Solutions Consultant for Galson Laboratories, was recently selected to receive the prestigious Harriotte A. Hurley Award as Member of the Year from the Analytical Accreditation Board (AAB) of the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s Laboratory Quality Assurance Programs (LQAP).
The AAB through LQAP works to establish high standards for laboratories and analysts. The outcome of these standards is high quality data for use in evaluating exposures that impact workers, the environment, natural resources and public health.

The criteria for receiving the award includes participating on task forces, appointment committees, and supporting the work of the staff and raising the profile of the LQAP by giving presentations and courses.
Stuber, a 23-year employee at Galson Laboratories, utilizes his wealth of overall laboratory experience to assist clients in all aspects of their sampling and analysis needs. He is a renowned speaker in the field of laboratory analytics and sampling methods. His schedule will be taking him to Malaysia, China and India this summer and fall to speak on air monitoring methods and analysis.
Stuber is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Chemical Aspects, through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, Certificate #3971, and a Certified Lead Inspector. He is a member of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Society of Safety Engineers, American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, AIHA Analytical Accreditation Board, AIHA Membership Committee, AIHA Sampling Laboratory and Analysis Committee and the CNY AIHA Local Chapter.
Stuber received his Bachelor of Science degree from Grove City College, Grove City, PA. He resides in Manlius with his wife Sharon and children Joshua, Aaron, Sierra and Juliet.
