Galson Laboratories' Ed Stuber to receive AIHA Fellow Award
Syracuse, N.Y. - Galson LaboratoriesEdward Stuber, CIH, has received the distinction of Fellow by The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). This distinction is awarded to only five percent of the entire AIHA membership.
The Fellow Award was established to recognize members who have made significant contributions to the practice of industrial hygiene and/or related disciplines, such as, but not limited to, toxicology, occupational medicine, and health physics.
According to Pamela Kostle, CIH, Chief of the Environmental Health and Safety Programat the University of Iowa, Mr. Stuber was chosen for his significant contributions to the Sampling and Analysis Committee (SLAC).
“Ed has provided a consistent level of dedication and leadership in all of his AIHA activities and the committee felt strongly that Ed met that criteria and evaluation for all that he has contributed to AIHA and particularly the SLAC and therefore should be nominated. It was an honor to have assisted Ed in preparing his AIHA Fellow nomination from the Sampling and Laboratory Analysis Committee,” said Kostle.
The committee also specifically praised Mr. Stuber for his the technical leadership in preparing and presenting several Professional Development Courses at the AIHce, his most recent class at the Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene Course in India.
