Galson is an AIHA EMLAP (Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program) accredited laboratory, which requires a high standard of quality and proficiency. The accreditation is intended for microbiology laboratories specializing in the analysis of microorganisms commonly detected in air, bulk, and surface samples. Galson Laboratories is accredited for both bacteria and fungi.

Galson Laboratories mission is to provide high quality analytical data. All of the microbiology analysts at Galson have as a minimum, four-year degrees. Analysts undergo a thorough training program, which has included courses in Indoor Air Quality from the McCrone Research Institute.

Quality control is performed on a daily basis, which includes statistical counts for spore traps and spore/fungi identification. Analysts perform duplicate and replicate analyses on 5% of all samples. Galson also participates in a spore trap round robin with outside laboratories three times per year.

Galson uses high quality, well-maintained and regularly calibrated Olympus microscopes for analysis.
